Pegs mode of transportation back to Santa Rosa. She said she could write a book with the characters she met. a bit of Canterbury Tales it sounds like.
wow look at that bike lane, don't get much better than this....at least on Rte 1 anyways. Traffic all polite it just works.
This is were we would have stayed, wouldn't have made it, I don't think, but had options, in fact we used one.
By this time Peg had caught up with us, she had rented a small SUV. We were just leaving Gulalla. We made it about a mile down the road and hit GALE FORCE WINDS. couldn't get above 8 mph on the flats and didn't really feel comfortable going above 5mph which wasn't fast enough to remain stable. Peg loaded us up with all the gear and took us up the road about 10 miles to a KOA. Took two trips. this trip just works out for Barb and I, although I feel bad for Peg missing out on some of the ride as most of it was beautiful and really not bad conditions.
