Leaving Ferndale, beautiful town

Barb still likes her "man" statues....

now we know what all the dairy cows are up to

it would be nice if she smiled once in a while

south Humboldt Bay....my old stoomping grounds

We were in a supermarket parking lot taking turns going in for groceries and bathrooms and the little old lady came up to Barb, who was watching the bikes, and told her, she brought back memories....she used to bike, did Crater Lake, Lassen and other places.  she was 82, and said she had lost her riding partner, her sister, some years back.  all the more reason  to be out doing.....

Carson Mansion, build by a timber baron, now an exclusive club

Downtown Arcata park.  I remember when they got rid of the hedges because of what the college students were doing in the bushes...I like the new look with the flowers

There it be, the old Alma Mater

still willing to talk to whoever will listen

the old railroad trestle across the Mad River, now a bike trail to McKinlyville

TOOOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!!

House we don't own....

Clam beach with Trinidad Head in the background

 By Golly, still getting along

We thought we found the tip of the sorting hat

can't say I,ve seen this variety of scotch broom

Peg had taken our gear to Patricks Point, then road down to Trinidad to meet us.  tomorrow she leaves us to go to Crescent City visit with cousins..... that means we will have to carry all our gear again....gonna miss that Peggy.....

Wedding rock at Patricks Point State Park.  one of my favorite places when in college
